Teachers can use Instagram as a personal learning network. Teachers can utilize it by tagging other teachers so they can see interesting posts. Teachers could also share their own personal experience and use it as a blog form. Places can also be tagged for other teachers to know where conferences, or public speakers are going on. Teachers would be able to friend one another so they can keep up with what they are doing in their professional lives. Photos and videos can be uploaded so teachers can see first hand experiences and helpful tips.
Facebook is a similar tool to Instagram in the way that it can tag places, specific posts, or accounts. Teachers can share ideas with one another and become more aware of events and conferences going on. Live streaming is another tool on these sites that can be used to get other teachers involved.

I think Instagram is a great tool for teachers to use as well! It's easy to use and it is also easy to communicate with others through. I also agree with Facebook because you can create groups on Facebook with other teachers and communicate with all of them at once. Not to mention how beneficial it is for teachers to use live streaming!
ReplyDeleteI also picked Facebook as one of my PLN resources for teachers. It offers tons of easy and efficient ways for teachers to get connected. Instagram is a cool one that I never would have thought of. Using it to get classroom ideas and inspiration is a great idea.
