Web Evaluation
One website I would use as a high school
English teacher is NoRedInk. This website
has been updated this year in 2018 and is a reliable source for students to
submit their writing pieces. This website allows teachers to see the percentage
of how much their students writing pieces are plagiarized. The website includes
quotes from real teachers from all over the country stating how much they love
this website. NoRedInk also includes media
sources that have done articles on them like, “The Wall Street Journal”, “NBC
News”, and “Today” to prove that they are the best website to use. Not only
does it detect plagiarism, but also has practice for grammar, and editing tools
for their papers.
Another website that I would use as
a high school English teacher is Purdue
Owl. This website is organized and updated since 2018. This is a very
reliable source and also contains “edu” at the end of the URL, meaning that it
is affiliated with a college, university or other education site. This website
includes different tabs to help students. Including “Purdue Owl News”, “Writing
Lab”, and the “Purdue Owl” tab for all the general writing examples and
lessons. This website would be helpful to students because it exemplifies how
to properly format, cite, and write sentences.
